Construction
Promat has developed, for the construction industry, a wide range of fireproofing systems that restricts the effects of cellulosic fire on building elements and whole structures. In addition, complementary systems are also available to improve the thermal and acoustic performance of structures.
These system incorporate product groups that include spray or trowel applied coatings, intumescent paints, adhesives/keycoats, topcoats/sealers and reinforcement/fixings.

Cafco SPRAYFILM® WB3
Cafco SPRAYFILM® WB3 is a water-based intumescent coating consisting of polyvinyl acetate resins and fillers for the fire protection of structural steel.
Cafco SPRAYFILM® WB3 is preferably spray applied directly to the contour of primed 'I' and 'H' section columns and beams, and hollow sections, to provide fire protection for up to 120 minutes. In a fire, a chemical reaction takes place, causing product to expand and form an insulating layer which prevents the temperature of steel rising to a critical level.

Cafco SPRAYFILM® WB2
Cafco SPRAYFILM® WB2 is a water based intumescent coating consisting of polyvinyl acetate resins and fillers for the fire protection of structural steel. It can be sealed and protected with a decorative top coat.
Cafco SPRAYFILM® WB2 is applied directly to the contour of primed I and H-section columns, angles, channels and beams, and hollow sections, to provide fire protection for up to 120 minutes. In a fire, a chemical reaction takes place, causing the Cafco SPRAYFILM® WB2 to expand and form an insulating layer which prevents the temperature of the steel rising above a critical level.

CAFCO® TOPCOAT 200
CAFCO® TOPCOAT 200 is a single pack, water based acrylic polymer for use as a water vapour permeable topcoat with excellent adhesion. It may be applied by spray, roller or brush. CAFCO® TOPCOAT 200 is applied over vermiculite and Portland cement-based fire resistant coatings that protect steel and concrete substrates.
CAFCO® TOPCOAT 200 does not blister when used on these substrates. CAFCO® TOPCOAT 200 may also be used on masonry, brickwork and blockwork, whether dry or damp and protects against ingress from salt spray, washdown water, chemical spills, rainfall and sprinkler deluge systems. It is flexible, flame retardant, mould resistant, and helps reduce the carbonation rate of cement based products.
